I do not out-source any stage of the construction process. This means that I control and know my amps from the first drop of glue to the last spot of solder.

I custom-build my own chassis using heavy-duty, 12 gauge, 5052-grade aluminum for maximum strength and conductivity.

All dAAb Amps cabinets are constructed with half-blind dovetail joint corners for maximum strength. I use clear white pine, yellow pine and 13-ply voidless birch based on customer preference. Speaker baffles are made with 1/2 or 3/4 inch, voidless birch and screw-mounted on all four sides. Read more about these features on the options page.

All combos and cabs come stock with Weber VST speakers.

All dAAb amps are hand-wired using terminal strip solder lugs. This is the highest level construction method for vacuum tube amplifier layout.

I use the best components for the function they perform, including a variety of resistor types from carbon comp, carbon film, non-inductive wire wound and metal film.

I use Switchcraft jacks Clarostat or PEC potentiometers and all switches are Carling, heavy-duty.

Tube sockets are Russian military ceramic with silver plated soldering terminals.

The transformers are over-designed by a factor of three for performance and reliability.
